8/15/2019 11:46:00 AM

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The reigning 2019 DII National Champions, Augustana Softball is partnering with the Sioux Empire Fastpitch Softball Association (SEFSA) to conduct a developmental Fall Softball League. Head coach Gretta Melsted announced that the league will be held on four Sundays, starting Aug. 25 and continuing on Sept. 8, 15, and 22.

The camp is designed for softball players grades 2-5. All clinics will be conducted at Frank Olson Park in Sioux Falls. All softball players attending the camp are reminded to bring a glove, softball cleats, tennis shoes, bat, helmet, catching gear (catchers only), and a water bottle. Players may sign up with a team or as an individual. If you sign up as an individual, the coaches will place you on a team.

Interested athletes are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible - the deadline for fall camp registration is Monday, August 19 at 6 p.m. Fans interested in registering can fill out the form here, and return it via mail or in person to Augustana Softball.

The purpose of the developmental Fall Softball League is to give athletes the opportunity to continue their development in softball, while also receiving instruction from the coaches and players on the Augustana softball team.

Fall league games will be played either Sunday morning or afternoon, with every effort possible made to play Sunday afternoon. Regardless of time, each participating team will practice and have one game each Sunday.
