Augustana Women's Golf Places First At The Tracy Lane Invitational

Hankinson claims the individual title

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Playing in its first event of the fall the Augustana women's golf team shot a two-round total of 634 (324/310) at the Tracy Lane Invitational to claim the team title. Played at the Bemidji Town and Country Club in Bemidji, Minnesota, the two-day event featured two rounds on the par-72 course. Senior Hannah Hankinson won the individual title with a two-round score of +4 (148). 

Individually, the Vikings finished with three in the top-five, with everyone having strong rounds. Freshman Molly Stevens was right behind Hankinson tying for second place with a score of +13 (157) in her Viking debut. Alex Stone rounded out Augustana in the top-five by firing off rounds of 83 and 79 for a score of +18 (162) which tied her for fifth place. 

McKayla Poppens carded an 85 and 82 and tied for 12th place after shooting +23. Kait Asklund (T21, +27) and Natalie Young (T21, +27) tied each other after playing two solid rounds. Annemarie Fisher rounded out the scoring for the Vikings as she tied for 29th place after shooting a +29 (173). 

Up Next: 
The Vikings will travel to Lake City, Minnesota, to compete in the Golden Bear Fall Classic at the Jewel Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
