BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Augustana junior Alex Stone was named the NSIC Women's Golfer of the Week the league office announced on Wednesday. 

Coming off her second tournament of the fall season at the Golden Bear Classic, the Crosslake, Minnesota, native, shot an opening day score of 75 and finished with a 69 in the second round to total 144 strokes. 

The junior was in second place after the first day but shot a three-under-par at 69, which was a career-low, to take over fellow teammate Hannah Hankinson for the tournament's top-honor. 

Overall, the Vikings finished with three in the top-five, with everyone having strong rounds. 

The Vikings will travel to Marshall, Minnesota, to compete in the Mustang Invite on Saturday and Sunday. To end the month, Augustana will host the Augustana Fall Invitational on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
