SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's golf team earned runner-up honors at the Augustana Invite at the Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Vikings shot a two-round score of 626 to finish at +50 on the weekend. 

Senior Hannah Hankinson finished second overall with a score of eight over-par (152). She improved her day one score of 79 by six strokes to finish with a 73 on Saturday.

Individually, the Vikings finished with five in the top-15. McKayla Poppens shot a two-round score of 156 to tie for fourth place while Alex Stone tied for 11th after shooting a 160 (80/80). 

Kait Asklund and Molly Stevens rounded out the team scoring for the Vikings. Asklund finished with an 86 on the first day and followed that up with an 81 on the final day to finish with a 167 while Stevens tied for 30th after shooting a 169. 

Annemarie Fisher, Sydney Weber, Natalie Young and Hanna Morin all competed as individuals at the Augustana Invite. Fisher and Weber tied with Stone for 11th place after shooting a 160 after the two rounds. Young tied for 16th place as she fired off an 80 and 81 to total 161 and Morin tallied a 174 on the weekend which placed her tied for 36.

"We were happy to get the round in with the long weather delay we had," head coach Peggy Kirby said. "It was a good event, the woman played very well for two days, but we didn't finish very strongly today. We had a couple of injuries but it takes five to make a team and we just didn't have enough today."
