SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana men's basketball junior Tyler Riemersma has been named to the 2019-20 Academic All-District Team as selected by CoSIDA. Riemersma earns first-team honors for District 7 and will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.
 
Holding a 3.86 GPA in data science, Riemersma averages a double-double for the Vikings with 13 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He secured a season-best 23 rebounds in Augustana's win over UMary on Feb. 1 and ranks third in the nation with 4.58 offensive rebounds per game.
 
He has scored in double digits in 14 games this season and reached the 20-point plateau seven times.
 
The Bloomington, Minnesota, native earned the NSIC South Division Player of the Week on Dec. 3 after he shot 62.5 percent from the field over a pair of contests that included a double-double to open NSIC at Wayne State.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District honor is the first of Riemersma's career.
