ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Augustana sophomore
Dylan LeBrun tallied a career-high 26 points as the Viking men's basketball team routed St. Cloud State 81-58 Saturday evening. The Vikings were red-hot from the field, shooting 59.3 percent including 61.1 percent from deep.

Augustana improves to 14-10 on the year and 9-9 in NSIC action with the win while St. Cloud State falls to 13-11 overall and 10-8 in the loop.

LeBrun scored 18 of his points in the first half on 7-of-10 shooting as the Vikings ran out to an 18-point advantage and never looked back. The score was 9-0 before the Huskies even put a point on the scoreboard and the lead swelled to 18 points at 22-4 with 14:27 on the clock.

Of the 22 points, LeBrun connected on 11 of them, nine of which came from 3-point baskets. The Huskies then started to find a little bit of offensive rhythm themselves but could not slow the Vikings down as AU entered intermission holding a 47-32 lead.

Isaac Fink sank a 3-point basket of his own as the clock was expiring to give AU the 15 point advantage at the half.

Combined with Fink's trey to end the half, the Vikings used an 11-3 run to continue building their lead which reached 20 points at 55-35 in the opening minutes of the second half when sophomore
Matt Todd and LeBrun hit back-to-back 3-point baskets.

A brief St. Cloud State run brought the lead back down to 16 points but the Vikings turned it up another notch, building a lead as large as 24 points with 6:41 remaining in the game. The conclusion was not in doubt as Augustana ran away with the 81-58 victory.

LeBrun sank six 3-point baskets as the Vikings tallied 11 in all, the most they've hit since scoring 12 against Wayne State on Dec. 21. Junior

Tyler Riemersma also narrowly missed on his 11
th of the season as he grabbed nine rebounds and scored eight points.

The Vikings dished 13 assists with six coming from LeBrun, also a career-high.

The Huskies were led by Anthony Roberts with 18 points while Trevon Marshall scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. SCSU shot 32.7 percent from the field on 17-of-52 field-goal attempts.

Augustana closes its regular-season home schedule on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, AU welcomes Minnesota State for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. Saturday's game with Concordia-St. Paul is slated for 5:30 p.m. inside the Sanford Pentagon.
