SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana volleyball team is set to welcome No. 12 Winona State on Friday night slated for a 6 p.m. start. On Saturday, Augustana will play Upper Iowa at 2 p.m.
About the Warriors
Winona State is 17-3 on the season and 8-3 within the conference. Most recently, the No. 12 Warriors split on a road trip defeating SMSU 3-2 then falling to Sioux Falls 3-0.
The Warriors are led by Megan Flom averaging 4.57 kills per set, Bre Maloney with 11.29 assists per set and Becca Pagel garnering 4.99 digs per set.
About the Peacocks
Upper Iowa is 15-5 on the season and holds an 8-3 record in the NSIC. The Peacocks are currently riding a three game win-streak with wins against Minnesota Duluth (3-1), Sioux Falls (3-0), and SMSU (3-2).
The Peacocks are led by Zoe Semelroth averaging 3.27 kills per set, Nicole Pozorski with 8.96 assists per set and Charisma Herr raking in 4.32 digs per set.
About the Vikings
Augustana is 12-7 on the season and 7-3 within the league. Most recently, the Vikings dropped a pair of matches at Minnesota State (3-2) and No. 7 Concordia-St. Paul (3-1).
Over the weekend, junior Maddy Guetter surpassed 500 career kills while also having her second consecutive 30-kill match.
The Vikings are led by Guetter averaging 3.83 kills per set, Avery Thorson dishing out 9.97 assists per set and Erika Bute averaging 4.81 digs per set.
One Last Thing
After the conclusion of the Upper Iowa match, Ole the Viking will be in attendance for postgame autographs along with the volleyball team.
