BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's Tyler Riemersma has been named the NSIC South Division Player of the Week after leading the Viking men's basketball team to a 2-0 start.
 
Riemersma, a native of Bloomington, Minnesota, averaged a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds over the two victories. He shot 53.8 percent from the field and added three assists, a block and a steal each contest.
 
In the Vikings 74-56 win over Southern Arkansas, Riemersma tallied 24 points and 14 rebounds. In the 72-58 win over No. 11 Washburn, he totaled 20 points and 14 rebounds.
 
Augustana is back in action on Friday and Saturday at the East/West Challenge in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The Vikings play Black Hills State on Friday and South Dakota Mines on Saturday.
