SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana volleyball team will conclude road competition for the regular season facing Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State. The match against Minnesota Crookston is slated for a  5 p.m. start while the Saturday match with BSU will be played at 1 p.m.

About the Golden Eagles

Minnesota Crookston is 1-20 on the season while being 0-16 within the NSIC. Most recently the Golden Eagles dropped a midweek match against Minnesota Duluth, falling 3-0.

The Golden Eagles are led by Lauren Wallace averaging 2.13 kills per set, Natalie Koke averaging 6.72 assists per set and Layne Whaley averaging 2.73 digs per set.

About the Beavers

Bemidji State is 2-22 on the season while having a 2-14 record within the conference. Most recently the Beavers fell to No. 12 nationally-ranked St. Cloud State in a midweek tilt losing 3-0.

The Beavers are led by Anna Averkemp averaging 2.64 kills per set, Emily Wade averaging 7.54 assists per set and Lauren Justesen averaging 3.18 digs per set.

About the Vikings

Augustana is 15-9 overall, holding a 10-6 record within the loop. Most recently the Vikings upset No. 14 nationally-ranked SMSU, 3-1, in a midweek matchup.

Augustana had a vicious tandem, recording 58 kills compared to 48 from SMSU while also recording 12 blocks to SMSU's six, helping the Vikings to its second victory against a ranked opponent this season. 

Junior Maddy Guetter had her hands all over the upset, accumulating 20 kills while hitting .450. Senior Payton Rosendahl and junior Kate Reimann also played a factor, extending their 10 or more kill streak to four-straight matches.

Freshman Jolie Stecher tied her season-high in blocks having nine along with eight kills.

The Vikings are led by Guetter averaging 3.82 kills per set, Thorson averaging 10.15 assists per set and Erika Bute averaging 4.70 digs per set.
