Molly Stevens Earns NSIC Golfer of the Week Honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Sophomore Molly Stevens of the Augustana women's golf team has been named the NSIC Golfer of the Week the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Stevens earned the honors after an impressive performance at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational in Warrensburg, Missouri, at Mules National Golf Club. The sophomore led the Vikings, tying for ninth-place in the tournament which was also the highest finish for an NSIC golfer at the tournament.

Stevens entered day-two of golf tied for 21st after shooting an 80 on day one. On day-two, Stevens shaved four strokes off of her day-one total (76) and jumped up to a tie for ninth-place with a two-day score of 156.

For Stevens, it's the fifth time in her young career that she has earned a top-10 finish, after earning four of them during the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season.

Stevens and the rest of the Vikings are back in action Monday at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Invitational in St. Joseph, Missouri, at the St. Joseph Country Club.
