OWATONNA, Minn. -- The Augustana men's tennis team dropped a match against Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday afternoon in Owatonna, Minnesota, by a 5-2 score.
Wisconsin-Eau Claire elevates to 4-1 on the season while Augustana falls to 3-5.
Two Vikings claimed victories in the singles play with Cade Damgaard taking the No. 1 slot going 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, and North Knewtson winning in No. 3 singles at 6-2, 7-6, 3-6.
The duo came back to win No. 1 doubles winning 6-3.
Points were given to the BluGolds in No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles due to a default.
The Vikings return to competition next week with two matches as part of their spring break trip. The first match is against Augusta on Wednesday in Augusta, Georgia. Augustana turns around the next day for a match against Benedict College in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
