Women’s Golf Set To Host Augustana Spring Invite

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's golf team concludes its regular season Saturday and Sunday at the Augustana Spring Invite. The Vikings are set to host the event at Elmwood Golf Course right here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Full course details can be found here.

Overall, Augustana welcomes 12 teams to the course this weekend: Sioux Falls, Winona State, UMary, Minnesota Crookston, SMSU, Bemidji State, MSU Moorhead, Minnesota State, Wayne State, Northwest Missouri State, Minot State and Upper Iowa. Augustana and the competition will start golfing at 9 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

The Vikings, coming off a second-place finish at the Wayne State College Invitational, posted their best round as a team at Wayne with a 305 in round one of the tournament.

Individually, Augustana also saw two of its three best rounds of the season at Wayne: a 72 in round one from sophomore Molly Stevens and a 74 in round one from senior Alex Stone.

The duo have also earned NSIC Player of the Week honors this season with Stevens taking home the award after the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational and Stone bringing home the award after the Newman Invite.

Freshman Lauren Tims, however, leads the Vikings in average strokes per round at 80.75 and has earned a top-five finish this season, tying for fourth-place with Stone at the tournament in Wayne.
