SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The No. 25 Augustana women's tennis team faced a tough regional opponent in Northwest Missouri State but came away with the 4-2 victory at Huether Tennis Centre on Sunday.
The Vikings are elevated to 14-2 while the Bearcats move to 10-4 on the season.
Augustana was able to claim the doubles point with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 slot. Grace Goble and partner Laura Arce Vieyra took the No. 2 position with a 6-1 win while sophomore duo Emily Granson and Aleksandra Kistanova took No. 3 doubles in 6-4 fashion.
In singles play, freshman Florentia Hadjigeorgiou bested her opponent in the No. 2 slot winning 6-3, 7-5. Margarita Chouliara had an easy bout in No. 4 singles winning 6-1, 6-0. Kistanova was victorious in No. 5 singles going 7-6, 6-0.

The Vikings earned the No. 1 seed in the NSIC Tournament and will face the No. 8 seed in Bemidji State Friday, at Huether Family Match Pointe in Sioux Falls with first serve slated for 2 p.m.
