BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- After leading the Augustana women's golf team to its 10th NSIC Championship in the last 11 seasons, head coach Coralee Jorgensen has been named the NSIC Coach of the Year in her first year at the helm of the Vikings the conference office announced Thursday morning. 

In addition, senior Natalie Young, sophomore Molly Stevens and freshman Lauren Tims were all named First-Team All-NSIC. In all, the Vikings claimed three of the six first-team slots on the NSIC's postseason list. 

Coach Coralee Jorgensen
After spending eight seasons as an assistant coach under previous head coach Peggy Kirby, Jorgensen officially took the title of head coach prior to the 2020-21 season. With no events in the fall, Jorgensen saw her Vikings earn two second-place finishes as a team in the spring, before winning the NSIC Championship in Morton, Minnesota, at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club. Augustana recently closed its season with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Super Regional Tournament. 

Molly Stevens
Stevens had a banner year for the Vikings, leading the team in scoring average with 79.5 strokes per round and earning five top-10 finishes (two of which were top-five finishes) in seven events. The sophomore started the season by winning NSIC Golfer of the Week accolades after tying for ninth place at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational.

After the next two tournaments, Stevens rattled off four-consecutive top-ten finishes. She placed second at the Wildcat Classic while golfing a season best 72 in round one (tied for the team low in 2021 and one of just two par's on the season for Augustana) and followed with another second-place finish at the Augustana Spring Invite. Stevens finished her impressive 2021 campaign with an eighth-place finish at the NSIC Championships and a tie for tenth place at the NCAA Super Regional Tournament. 

Natalie Young
Young finished second on the Vikings in scoring average with an 80.44 strokes per round average and earned three top-10 finishes on the season with two of those being top-five finishes. The senior earned her first top-10 finish when she tied for ninth at the Wildcat Classic. 

At the very next event, the Augustana Spring Invite, Young earned fourth-place honors and logged her best round of the season in round two with a 74. At the NSIC Championships, Young earned All-Tournament Team honors with a tie for third place. 

Lauren Tims
Tims enjoyed a strong freshman campaign and had a scoring average of 80.88 strokes per round and also earned three top-10 finises on the season with two of hers also being top-five finishes. The freshman also golfed her season best round of 73 at the Newman Spring Invite. 

Following the Newman event, Tims placed fourth at the Wildcat Classic, finished in 10th place at the Augustana Spring Invite and earned All-Tournament Team honors with a tie for third place at the NSIC Championships.
