CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Augustana women's golf team earned the WGCA All-Scholar Team award as it tallied the 25
th highest GPA in NCAA Division II for the 2020-21 academic year. The WGCA announced the top-25 teams on Thursday afternoon.
Augustana's academic year GPA rang in at 3.643.
The Vikings, consisting of nine student-athletes, not only got it done in the classroom but were the 2021 NSIC Champions and advanced to the NCAA Regional where they placed sixth.
Previously this summer, Augustana had four members named WGCA All-American Scholars in
Lauren Tims,
Molly Stevens,
Natalie Young and
Alex Stone. The other five members of the 2020-21 team consisted of
Kait Asklund,
Rachel Halvorson,
Hanna Morin and
Sophia Salter and
Rachel Schwarz.
Coralee Jorgensen just completed her first year as the Vikings head coach and was named the NSIC Coach of the Year.
