SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton has announced the promotions of two administrative staff members. Luke Groth has been promoted to the Associate Athletic Director for Operations while Emily Punt has been promoted to the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Partnerships and Director of the A-Club.
"Our role as administrators is to do our part in fulfilling and living out our department philosophy statement," Morton said. "Both Luke and Emily are great examples of that and deserving of their enhanced titles."
Groth began his duties with Augustana in the spring of 2019 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Internal Operations. Over the past two years, Groth has been the Tournament Director for the NCAA Regional and National Championship in the sport of wrestling, NSIC Baseball Tournament and has also handled the budget of the Augustana Athletics Department. He is also the sport administrator for acrobatics & tumbling, baseball, men's golf, softball and wrestling.
In his new role, he'll be taking on licensing and branding for the athletics department while continuing to serve in a key role with the launch of the acrobatics & tumbling program which will compete for the first time in 2022-23.
Punt started at Augustana in June of 2019 as the Director of Athletics Annual Giving.
Her additional duties now include serving as the sport administrator for the Augustana spirit squads, overseeing ticket operations, sponsorship sales and fulfillment and marketing & fan experience initiatives. She will continue to be the Director of the A-Club, building relationships with donors, A-Club members and season ticket holders.
