BOLIVAR, MO. – The Augustana women's golf team placed two golfers in the top ten at the Midwest Intercollegiate at Silo Ridge Country Club en route to a third-place team finish. The event was held Monday and Tuesday in Bolivar, Missouri.
The event featured 17 teams with the Vikings placing third in the event, just eight strokes behind Central Oklahoma and nine strokes behind Central Missouri.
The Vikings as a team shot a 319 in round one and a 313 in round two to finish with a score of 632 during the two-day event.
Molly Stevens and
Shannon McCormick both finished in a tie for seventh place where Stevens shot a 79 and then a 78 in round two. McCormick would shoot a 78 and 79 during the two day event.
Hanna Morin placed in a tie for 14th overall and third for the Vikings with 159 strokes (80-79).
Rounding out the team of five for the Vikings was
Natalie Young who placed in a tie for 23rd with 163 strokes (82-81) and
Lauren Tims who placed in a tie for 38th with 167 strokes (90-77).
Rachel Schwarz competed as an individual for the Vikings where she placed tied for 56th with 175 strokes (85-90).
The Vikings will next be in action at the Newman Invitational at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas April 4-5.
