SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's golf team would have the top-five finishers in the Augustana Easter Lily Invitational on its way to winning the event at Willow Run Golf Course.
Teams participating in the event were Sioux Falls, Minnesota-Crookston, MSU Moorhead and two teams from Augustana.
The 'A' team consisting of Molly Stevens, Lauren Tims, Natalie Young, Shannon McCormick and Masy Mock took first place with a two-day score of 618.
Tims would win the event, recording her first individual victory of the season when she shot 151 (77-74). She would also have the top par-3 score in the tournament at +1.
Young would take second in the two-day tournament, just one stroke back of Tims at 152 (76-76). It would be Young's fourth finish in the top-10 this season.
Third was Shannon McCormick when she shot 157 (81-76). Mock was just one stroke back in fourth place with a score of 158 (77-81). Mock also had the most pars in the tournament with 18.
Rounding out the 'A' Team was Stevens when she placed 11 with a two day score of 165 (82-83).
The 'B' team composed of Annika Stensrud, Hanna Morin, Kait Asklund, Rachel Schwarz and Sophia Salter took second place with a two-day score of 652.
Morin would place in a tie for fifth with a score of 161 (87-74). She was followed by Stensrud who placed eighth with a score of 163 (82-81).
Schwarz and Asklund both placed in a tie for ninth with a two-day score of 164.
Salter rounded out the 'B' team placing 23 with a two day score of 195 (99-96).
The Vikings will next tee off at the NSIC Championships April 22-24 at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.
