Billeter Inks NJCAA All-American Graves to NLI

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana men's basketball head coach Tom Billeter has announced the signing of junior college All-America honoree Jadan Graves. The 6-2 guard will join the Vikings for the 2022-23 season.
 
Hailing from Syracuse, New York, Graves completed his sophomore season at Des Moines Area Community College by leading the Bears to a third-place finish at the NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.
 
"Jadan is an outstanding young man with tremendous skill and talent," Billeter said. "He is a very gifted offensive player who can not only score but also keep everyone involved as he is an excellent passer. Coach Putz is an excellent coach and did a great job with Jadan.
 
"I am thankful for the efforts my staff, Casey Schlatter, Cody Shilling and Makaleb McInnis put in to recruit Jadan. We are excited to have this young man's talent and experience joining our program."
 
In the 2021-22 season, Graves averaged 16.6 points per game while shooting at a 48.7 percent clip. Making 3.4 3-point field goals per game, Graves shot 48.1 percent from long range. He also dished 3.1 assists per game while securing 4.7 rebounds.
 
Following the season, Graves was named a First Team NJCAA All-America honoree while being named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He led the league in scoring and 3-point shooting percentage.
 
He set school records for made 3-point baskets in a season with 111 while holding the single-game record with nine made treys.
 
Graves attended Henninger High School in Syracuse, New York, where he earned All-CNY honors.
 
Graves is part of an eight-man recruiting class for Augustana with the other seven being Ryan Miller, Brady Helgren, Caden Hinker, Jackson Loge, Ayden McDonald, Sam Rensch and Hayden Arndt.
