About the Marauders
UMary holds an 8-6 record in 2022-23 while sitting in a tie for fifth place in the NSIC North Division with a 4-6 conference mark. After having won two-straight, with wins over Minnesota Crookston and Southwest Minnesota State, UMary fell 90-84 to Sioux Falls last time out.
Three Marauders average double-figure scoring led by Zyon Smith and his 13 points. He is joined by Kam Warrens and Treyton Mattern at 12.7 and 11.6 points per game, respectively. A balanced rebound game is led by Warrens' 5.7 rebounds while Jeremiah Jones records 5.6 rebounds per outing.
In something that is not seen very often anymore, UMary has had the same starting lineup for all 14 games.
About the Beavers
Minot State is 7-7 overall and is in a tie for fifth place in the NSIC North Division with its 4-6 NSIC record. The Beavers have been fairly streaky in 2022-23 and have currently lost three-straight contests after getting swept by Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State last week by a combined five points.
Cam'ron Dunfee leads the scoring attack at 13.3 points per outing while Khari Broadway is close behind at 13.1 points per game. Jaxon Gunville is the last Beaver to tally double-digit points as he pours in 10.3 per contest. Connor Hollenbeck is the leading rebounder at 6.1 per game.
About the Vikings
Augustana is 7-9 on the year and 3-7 in the NSIC while looking to snap a four-game skid. The Vikings fell at Northern State and No. 25 MSU Moorhead last weekend.
Augustana places four student-athletes in double-figure scoring led by
Ryan Miller's 12.9 points per game. Both
Jadan Graves and
Akoi Akoi average 11.8 points per contest while
Isaac Fink has re-joined the double-digit scoring list at 10.4 points per outing.
One Last Thing
Fink is on the verge of 1,000 career points as he enters the weekend with 979 points over 89 games played. In addition to his 89 games, he has made starts in 73 of those games. A season frustrated by lingering injuries, Fink had arguably his best weekend of the season last weekend where he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds over the two games. He shot at a 50 percent clip while hitting 43 percent of his shots from 3-point range.
