SIOUX FALLS, S.D.-- The Augustana volleyball team (8-12 overall, 5-7 NSIC) returns to the Elmen Center on Tuesday, hosting Southwest Minnesota State at 6 p.m.

The Mustangs
Southwest Minnesota State received 875 points in the AVCA poll, placing them seventh. The Mustangs are 18-3 overall and 10-2 in NSIC play this season after rolling past Bemidji State and Minneosta Crookston on the road last weekend. SMSU ranks 12th in the country in kills per set and 13th in assists per set, with Alisa Bengen fueling that attack. Bengen ranks 15th in the country with 10.72 assists per set, and is an all-around threat for the Mustangs, collecting 223 digs, 82 kills, 18 aces, and 29 blocks. Freshman Leah Jones leads the team with 223 kills, and McKenzie Tolk ranks 47th in the country with 4.74 digs per set.
The Vikings
Augustana enters the week off a Saturday morning road sweep over Minot State.
The win marked the 100th in the career of head coach
Jennifer Jacobs. She became the fifth coach in program history to reach the milestone.
Callie Hohenhaus pumped the offense with 14 kills on a .571 hitting percentage.
Maya Wente delivered nine kills and three blocks, and
Kia Kriener added nine kills and 14 digs.
Erika Bute led the back line with 18 digs, while
Kiylah Franke tallied nine digs.
Lucy Bartee paced the offense with 39 assists.
On the season, Kriener leads the Vikings with 261 kills, while Jansen follows with 165 kills, 146 digs, and a team-high 30 aces. Bute leads the team with 394 digs, including 5.32 digs per set.
Also excelling on the front line are Wente (161 kills, 67 blocks) and Hohenhaus (155 kills, 58 blocks) .
Bartee has put together an all-around contribution, adding 760 assists, 156 digs, 28 blocks, and 22 aces.
Kiylah Franke and
Ellie Walker have each produced on the back line, as Franke has tallied 158 digs and 23 aces, while Walker has collected 113 digs and 20 aces.
One Last Thing
Erika Bute ranks fifth amongst NCAA DII in active career digs with 2,035. That number ranks 17th among all NCAA levels. Her 5.25 digs per set this season ranks 18th in the country and second in the NSIC.
Looking Ahead
The Vikings return to a familiar venue Friday night, hosting MSU Moorhead inside the Sanford Pentagon at 7 p.m.
