SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 12 Augustana football team begins a stretch of two-straight games on the road with a noon contest on Saturday at Wayne State.

Complete action can be followed on GoAugie.com/Live and the GoAugie app, presented by The Original Pancake House. The app can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play.

About the Game
Augustana is undefeated and atop the NSIC Standings while holding down one of 10 spots in the initial NCAA Division II Super Region Four Rankings. A win at Wayne State would only look to boost the rankings while the Wildcats are looking to bounce back from a heartbreaker at Northern State.

About the Wildcats
Wayne State, an NCAA Division II playoff team a year ago, is 5-3 on the season with a 4-3 mark in the NSIC. The Wildcats fell 28-26 at Northern State this past week after holding a 19-0 lead at halftime. The Wolves then scored 25-straight points before the Wildcats ultimately fell on a last-second field goal. In the game, Nick Bohn tossed for 206 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. The rushing attack was led by Dawson Forgy and his 69 yards.

For the year, Bohn has thrown for 2,107 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 58.5 percent of his pass attempts. His top target is Kendrick Watkins-Hogue with 44 receptions for 575 yards. With nearly half the receptions, Ashten Schmaderer owns 527 yards, an average of 21.9 yards per catch. Latravious Boyd is the squad's leading rusher with an average of 73 yards per game.

On the defensive side of the ball, Alex Schall has racked up 62 tackles with 37 marked as solo. Dexter Larsen is just behind with 60 tackles as the duo combines for 11 tackles for loss and three sacks.

About the Vikings
Augustana holds an 8-0 record while sitting at 7-0 in the NSIC after toppling Minnesota State, 28-10, last Saturday. Following the game that saw nearly equal rushing and passing yards from the Viking offense, Jarod Epperson was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week. He rushed for 136 yards and received another 65 yards while accumulating two touchdowns. As good as the offense was, the defense was even better shutting down the Mavericks for just three points until just the final minute of the game.

Casey Bauman guides the Augustana offense with his 2,002 yards, 20 touchdowns and 67.6 completion percentage. He has found Devon Jones a team-high 26 times while Jack Fisher owns 23 receptions and a team-best 484 yards receiving. Epperson has gained 643 yards on the ground while finding the end zone seven times.

Peyton Buckley continues to lead the Vikings' defense with 51 tackles, 38 marked as solo while breaking up seven passes, intercepting two and totaling 5.5 tackles for loss. Haden Wallace owns 45 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss.

On the special teams side, Avery Book is the reigning NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week with his 45.2 yards per punt average. In putting together an All-America campaign, Book leads the NSIC and ranks third in the country in that category.

One Last Thing
Jarod Epperson enters Saturday's contest with 2,749 rushing yards. That total places him fourth all-time at Augustana and is on the verge of becoming just the third Viking to collect 3,000 rushing yards.
