SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana soccer dropped a 1-0 match to Northern State Sunday afternoon at Morstad Field.
In a battle for positioning in the NISC table, the Vikings' fell short in the 78' as NSU forward Megan Fastenau powered in a right-footed shot off of a free kick.
AU battled throughout the entire 90 minutes, as they fired in 17 shots, including eight on target. Senior
Hope Korte led the way for the Vikings with four shots and two shots on goal.
The Vikings had opportunities, as they had 10 corner kicks in the game, but were called for 13 fouls and handed a card, while the Wolves were called for just six.
