SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's golf team opens up play at the NCAA Central Regional Monday. The three-round tournament runs Monday through Wednesday at The Falls at Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa. Augustana is the host of the tournament.

The Vikings
Augustana competed in five events in the spring, finishing in the top-two in all events with two first place finishes, the Augustana Invite and the Wayne State Invite. Molly Stevens has posted the lowest stroke average in the NSIC this season at 75.7. Stevens and Lauren Tims have won at least one event this season while Stevens leads the way with three individual medals.
The Vikings won their third-straight NSIC Championship last Sunday in Smithville, Missouri. The win was the 12th NSIC Championship for the Vikings. All five individuals finished in the top-13 at the three-day event.

The Field
There are eight teams and six individuals joining the Vikings on the golf course for the tournament. Henderson State, Central Missouri, Rogers State, Northeastern State, Nebraska-Kearney, Central Oklahoma, Harding and Missouri Western. The individuals that are competing are Paige Hoffman (Northwest Missouri), Morgan Brasser (Fort Hays State), Carly Moon (Winona), Ellen Spigner (Arkansas Tech), Morgan Becker (Oklahoma Baptist) and Gabriela Maldonado (Arkansas-Monticello).
The Course
The event will take place at Grand Falls Casino and Resort in Larchwood, Iowa. Par for the course is 72.
Last Year
The Vikings placed eighth at the NCAA Regional last season. Augustana moved up to eighth place on the final tour of the course with 960 strokes.Molly Stevens, the 2021-22 NSIC Player of the Year, led the Augustana charge with a 75 in the final round to finish with 232 strokes in a tie for 23rd. Stevens recorded three birdies on day three and finished the tournament with 37 pars. Lauren Tims and Masy Mock each tied for 37th position last season. Tims totaled 78 shots in round three while Mock had 79. The duo each totaled 241 strokes over the three rounds.
