Volleyball to Host Wayne State, Travel to Concordia-St. Paul

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana volleyball (10-12 overall, 6-7 NSIC) is set for two weekday matchups against nationally rated opponents, with a home non-conference battle against #11 Wayne State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and a road contest at 6 p.m. against #9 Concordia-St. Paul.

The Wildcats
Wayne State currently holds a 18-4 overall record with an 11-2 conference showing following a non-conference sweep of Peru State, a five-set loss to then-#12 Southwest Minnesota State and a five-set defeat of Sioux Falls. Taya Beller leads with 285 kills as Molly Romano sits with 846 assists on the year. Brooke Pelts has 402 digs so far this season and Beller has added in 99 total blocks.
 
The Golden Bears
After four-set victory over Minnesota State and a five-set defeat of Winona State, Concordia-St. Paul is 16-4 overall and 11-1 in conference play with a 10-game winning streak. Sophia Anderson has tallied 233 kills while Teagan Starkey has dished out 957 assists. On the defensive end, Cassie Sieling has collected 323 digs and Claudia Stahlke has totaled 102 blocks this season.
 
The Vikings 
Augustana looks to bounce back following a three-set loss to Winona State at home and a four-set loss on the road at Minnesota State last week.
 
Reagan Jansen has slammed down 241 kills so far this season as Maya Wente is attacking at a clip of .349 with 238 kills. Lucy Bartee has dished out 854 assists and Sydney Tims leads with 27 service aces. On the defensive end, Gabby Jones has collected 313 digs while Wente sits with 95 total blocks.  
 
Looking Ahead
In the final weekend at home of the season, Augustana will host Minot State on Friday, Nov 8 for Parent Night and UMary on Saturday, Nov. 9 for Senior Night.
