About the Warriors
Winona State had a four-game winning streak snapped with a 72-62 loss at Southwest Minnesota State this past week. Prior to that, WSU reeled off victories over No. 3 MSU Moorhead, St. Cloud State, Concordia-St. Paul and Sioux Falls.

The Warriors are led by Connor Dillon with his 21.7 points per game average while shooting the nation's second most field goal attempts with 399. Dillon, with his high frequency of shot attempts, does make 46.6 percent of those attempts, while his 186 makes mark the second most in NCAA Division II.

He is joined in double-figure scoring by three other Warriors with Olumide Adelodun at 10.6, Brock Voigt at 10.5 and Connor Drew at 10.3 points per game. Adelodun is the team leader with 5.5 rebounds per outing.

About the Mavericks
The nation's fifth-ranked team, Minnesota State is 21-2 on the year after having bounced back from a 15-point loss at Minnesota State on Jan. 30. The Mavericks topped Southwest Minnesota State, 68-58, and Sioux Falls, 70-65, last weekend. Previously this year, MSU held a No. 1 national-ranking going into the Jan. 19-20 weekend before falling at Minot State, 81-71.

Malik Willingham leads the Mavericks with 18.7 points per game while his brother, Kyreese, has tallied 14.2 points per outing. A very balanced offensive attack continues with Justin Eagins at 12.9 points, Dylan Peeters at 10.5 and Elijah Hazekamp at 10.2 points per outing. Peeters is the leading rebounder for Minnesota State with 7.0 rebounds per contest.

About the Vikings
Augustana is 14-8 overall and 9-7 in the NSIC after having won seven of its last eight games. The lone blemish came last weekend in a six-point loss to Minnesota Duluth. AU bounced back with a 92-87 shootout with Concordia-St. Paul that saw Isaac Fink go off for 35 points. In addition, Caden Kirkman poured in a season-best 19 points.

For the season, it's been Fink leading AU with 19.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per outing. He is joined in double-figure scoring by fellow senior Jadan Graves and his 15.1 points per contest.

Freshman Arhman Lewis has launched himself into the NSIC lead in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.88-to-1. That is good enough for 16th in all of NCAA Division II. The league's second best in the statistic? Graves. He owns a 2.24-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio giving AU a 1-2 punch at dishing the ball and not turning it over.

One Last Thing
Augustana will be looking to knock off its second ranked foe in 2023-24 on Saturday night. The Vikings last beat multiple ranked opponents in the 2021-22 season when they beat five nationally ranked teams as part of their 26 wins on the season.
