About the Bulldogs
Ranked No. 11 nationally, Minnesota Duluth is 23-5 and the No. 2 seed in the NSIC Tournament. Winners of 11-straight games, the Bulldogs own the league's longest winning streak and is the nation's third-longest.
Â
In Thursday's NSIC postseason awards, Charlie Katona was named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year and was joined on the All-NSIC First Team by Drew Blair. Blair, a four-time All-NSIC honoree, leads UMD with 22.1 points per outing and has sunk 72 3-point field goals. Katona drops in 12.9 points per game.
Â
Austin Andrews, a former first team selection and NSIC North Player of the Year, is just outside of double-digit scoring with 9.8 points per contest. He sinks 60 percent of his field-goal attempts as part of a Minnesota Duluth squad that returned its entire starting five from last year's Elite 8 team.

About the Vikings
Holding a 19-10 record, Augustana carries a five-game win streak into the quarterfinal contest after a 75-62 win over Wayne State in the First Round of the NSIC Tournament. That contest saw
Isaac Fink score 20 or more points for the fifth-straight game and ninth time out of 10 games. With a total of four Vikings in double figures,
Jadan Graves added 14 points,
Arhman Lewis 12 and
Akoi Akoi 10.
Â
On Thursday, AU saw Fink and Graves earn All-NSIC honors after the duo leads a 1-2 punch at 20.8 points and 14.7 points per game, respectively. Fink leads Augustana with his 7.1 rebounds per game while Graves is the league's top 3-point shooter in percentage, makes and 3-point field goals per game.
Â
Caden Kirkman has come on strong in the latter part of his freshman campaign and now averages 9.9 points per contest. Lewis, a fellow freshman, leads the NSIC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.83-to-1.
Â
One Last Thing
The last time the two teams matched up, the contest also featured the NSIC's longest winning streak. In that game, Augustana had reeled off six-straight wins including a 10-point victory over then No. 16 Minot State. The Bulldogs' 11-straight victories include two ranked victories, Minnesota State and Minot State. Can history repeat itself with the league's longest active streak snapped?
