ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Augustana women's golf swung its way to a first-place win against eight different schools in the Holiday Inn Express Classic held by Missouri Western. The two-day tournament concluded after just one round after day two was canceled due to weather.

How it Happened
- Lauren Tims led the Vikings with an individual third-place finish after shooting one-over-par with a round of 73. Tims was tied between four golfers with 13 total pars throughout the day.
- Lanie Veenendall finished behind Tims with a score of two over par. Veenendall was the second-best on Par-5s and had an average stroke of 4.83.
- Augustana led the tournament on Par-3s and Par-5s with an average score of 3.17 and 5.07.
- The Vikings totaled 50 pars and 13 birdies.
- Shannon McCormick rounded out the top-three Vikings with a score of 76. McCormick had the third-best average score when attacking Par-3s with a stroke of 3.00. Masy Mock joined the junior with an average stroke of 2.83 when attacking the same holes.
- Augustana edged out Missouri Western by nine strokes for first place. Augustana shot a combined total of 300.
