Women’s Golf Claims Seventh Event Victory of Season

WAYNE, America – The Augustana women's golf team ran away with the WSC Wildcat Classic Monday. The event, although still playing 36 holes, was switched from a two-day tournament to a single day due to forecasted weather on Tuesday. Augustana earned an individual medalist with Molly Stevens winning by two strokes.

  • Lanie Veenendall placed third with identical rounds of 76 for 8-over-par.
  • Veenendall recorded one of three eagles on the course.
  • Shannon McCormick and Lauren Tims each tied for fourth place with 153 strokes
  • Masy Mock tied for 44th in the event.
  • The team win marked the seventh time in 2023-24 the Vikings earned the team victory.
