NEWTON, Kan. – Augustana women's golf finished second in the two-day Newman Invitational with a combined score of 619 after it battled strong winds in round two. Molly Stevens scored a third-place finish with a stroke count of 151 through two rounds.

How it Happened

• Stevens rose to the top of the leaderboard after shooting 3-under-par in round one and held on until the very end to finish third with a stroke count of 151. 
• Stevens tied three other student-athletes for the most birdies through two rounds with six. 
• Lauren Tims put together an impressive showing with a stroke count of 155 and tied for eighth. Tims had 18 pars and five birdies throughout the event. 
• Augustana swung better than the rest of the competition on Par-3s and Par-4s and totaled 103 pars and 19 birdies. 
• Lanie Veenendall and Shannon McCormick pulled together finishes just outside the top-10 with stroke counts of 156 and 157. 
• Masy Mock swung into a 26th place finish with a combined round score of 165. 
• Augustana averaged a stroke count of 4.32 on Par-4s and 3.25 on Par-3s.
