MARSHALL, Minn. – The Augustana women's golf team finished in first place at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite that concluded Sunday afternoon. In a 12-team field, the Vikings shot a stroke count of 592 in Marshall, Minnesota.
Masy Mock finished in first place with a stroke count of 142 after a round two score of 69.
Lanie Veenendall finished in third place with a stroke count of 144.

How it Happened
- Mock jumped four spots on day two to claim the individual championship. She shot a day one round of 73 with one birdie. On day two, she dominated the greens with six birdies for a final score of 69.
- Veenendall shot rounds of 72 and 72 for a stroke count of 144. She tallied four birdies throughout the invite.
- Shannon McCormick finished in 14th after a stroke count of 151. She finished with rounds of 74 and 77.
- Mattie Weidenbach recorded a stroke count of 155 after rounds of 78 and 77. She finished in 23rd.
- Anna Eckmann rounded out the team finish for the Vikings in a tie for 37th. Eckmann tallied rounds of 80 and 81 for a stroke count of 161.
- Payton Drefke played in the invite as an individual and finished in a tie for 37th with a stroke count of 161.
- Hanna Knoop played as an individual and finished in a tie for 59th with a stroke count of 172.

Augustana will hit the road towards Edmond, Oklahoma to play in the Grace Shin Invitational on Oct. 7-8 before setting its sights on the USF Invitational on Oct. 14-15.
