BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's
Tanner Te Slaa was named as a member of the All-NSIC Second Team, announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.
Te Slaa earned the All–NSIC accolade in his first season as a Viking. The junior from Hull, Iowa, led the team with 14.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He recorded four double-doubles on the year, including a 21 point, 14 rebound game against Wayne State in December.
Te Slaa scored double-digits in 22 of 29 games on the year and had a pair of games with five 3-point makes on the year. Entering postseason action, he led the NSIC shooting 86.6 percent from the free throw line and was fifth with a 38.1 percent 3-point shooting percentage.
The 11th-seeded Vikings will reach the NSIC Quarterfinals at the Sanford Pentagon for the fifth time in the last six seasons after knocking off sixth-seeded UMD on Wednesday night. AU will now take on No. 3 seed MSU Moorhead on Sunday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
