SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The two-time defending NSIC Champion Augustana football team has completed its 2025 schedule.
The Vikings open the 103rd season of football on Aug. 30 hosting the Missouri Western Griffons of the MIAA in nonconference action during "Week 0". The Vikings and Griffons, who went 4-7 a season ago, will meet for the fourth time in a series that has seen a win for each team and a tie. It will be the first meeting between the two in Sioux Falls since 1980, a 22-22 tie.
In week one, Augustana welcomes Jamestown to the NSIC, hosting the newest member of the Northern Sun to Kirkeby-Over Stadium for the Jimmies' first conference game. The Vikings are 6-0 all-time in the series, with all six games coming between 1934 and 1941.
On Sept. 13, the Vikings travel to Bismarck, N.D., for the second season in a row to take on UMary.
The road stretch continues Sept. 20 when Augustana makes its way north for a rematch against Bemidji State. The teams met in Bemidji in last season's finale.
After a pair of road weekends, the Vikings return home for the annual Viking Days contest on Sept. 27 against Winona State. It will be the second straight year the teams will play at Kirkeby-Over Stadium after a 31-0 shutout victory by Augustana last season.
On Oct. 4, The Vikings will attempt to preserve the "Key to the City" when it travels to Bob Young Field for a matchup against Sioux Falls.
Concordia-St. Paul returns to Sioux Falls on Oct. 11 for a 1p.m., tangle against the Vikings.
After a week off, Oct. 25 will see the Vikings back on the road to take on Augustana alum, Scott Underwood, and Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minn.
The final home stretch of the season comes Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 when Northern State and Minnesota State travel to Kirkeby-Over Stadium. Nov. 1 will be the second season in a row that the Wolves travel to Sioux Falls while Nov. 8 will be the fifth time in the last three seasons that AU and MSU meet.
Augustana then closes the regular season at Wayne State on Nov. 15.
All home games have a 1 p.m. kickoff and are played in Kirkeby-Over Stadium. Stay tuned to GoAugie.com this spring for ticket information.
