SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Shannon McCormick placed first and helped lead the Vikings to victory in the NSIC Preview on Monday and Tuesday at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. McCormick's stroke count of 150 and impressive back nine on day two helped her secure her first win of the 2024-25 season. In a field of 13 teams, Augustana shot an impressive stroke count of 626 to garner its second team win of the season.

How it Happened

• McCormick dominated day two of the tournament as she shot a round of 75 with a 36 on the back nine. She totaled an overall stroke count of 150 through two rounds. McCormick tallied three birdies on round two.
• Lanie Veenendall finished in a tie for fourth as she totaled a stroke count of 154. Veenendall shot rounds of 75 and 79.
• Masy Mock finished the tournament with a stroke count of 157 after she shot rounds of 76 and 81. She finished in a tie for 11th. 
• Mattie Weidenbach finished in a tie for 30th with Anna Eckmann, as they both shot stroke counts of 166. Weidenbach shot rounds of 79 and 87, while Eckmann shot rounds of 80 and 86.
• Payton Drefke entered the tournament as an independent and secured a stroke count of 170 after she shot rounds of 83 and 87.
