SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The Augustana women's golf team sits in third place after day one of the NSIC Women's Golf Championships with a team stroke count of 314.
Shannon McCormick is tied in third place after she recorded a round of 73.

How it Happened
- McCormick finished round one in a tie for third place after she shot one-over par with a stroke count of 73. McCormick tallied four birdies throughout the day with two birdies on the front nine and two on the back nine.
- Lanie Veenendall closed out the day with a stroke count of 79 and currently sits in a tie for 13th. She put together two birdies on the front nine.
- Anna Eckmann finished behind Veenendall with a stroke count of 80 and in a tie for 16th against four student-athletes. She secured 12 pars throughout the day.
- Payton Drefke shot back-to-back nines of 41 for a stroke count of 82. She shot six pars on the back nine and finished in a tie for 25th.
- Masy Mock closed out the Viking finishers in a tie for 35th after she shot a round of 85.
