SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana head men's basketball coach
Cody Schilling has announced the signing of Amari Westmoreland-Vendiola for the 2025-26 season.

Schilling on Westmoreland-Vendiola "We are extremely excited to add Amari to our roster and the Augustana Men's Basketball Family! I truly believe that his best two years of basketball are ahead of him. His length, defensive versatility, shooting ability, IQ and competitiveness will make us better from day one. He was extremely efficient offensively at Western Wyoming and was their lockdown defender on the defensive end as well. We look forward to working with Amari and helping him achieve his goals on and off the court."
Previous School: Westmoreland-Vendiola was a starter and team captain in his second season with the Mustangs. The guard averaged 12.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from deep and 90.2 percent from the free throw line.
High School: Westmoreland-Vendiola was a four-year starter and senior captain for Kahuku High & Intermediate School. He averaged 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while earning Hawaii Defensive Player of the Year. The guard was named Oia East Player of the Year and was an All-State selection while leading his team to a 14-4 record.
Personal: Amari is the son of Amanda Vendiola and Lee Westmoreland. He has a sibling named Aaliyah and plans to major in business administration at Augustana.
