CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Augustana women's golf team saw the maximum number of student-athletes named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team. Five members of the Viking squad earned the honor:
Anna Eckmann,
Lanie Veenendall,
Shannon McCormick,
Masy Mock and
Payton Drefke.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 while playing in 50% of the regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year, through the conference championship.
Veenendall earned NSIC Golfer of the Year and was on the All-NSIC First Team alongside McCormick. Mock garnered All-NSIC Second Team honors.
Augustana secured four wins throughout the 2024-25 season and finished second in the NSIC with a berth to the Regional Championship. The Vikings had a scoring average of 313 in 27 rounds of play and finished in the top three on eight occasions.
