Road Contest Against Concordia-St. Paul Up Next for Vikings

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Vikings football team finds the road again to St. Paul, Minnesota, for a 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon match-up against Concordia-St. Paul at Sea Foam Stadium.

Scouting the Enemy
Concordia St. Paul suffered a 49-7 loss against Minnesota State for their third loss of the season. Concordia-St.Paul had a total offense of 231 yards with -27 rushing yards and 258 passing yards. Lincoln Graf went 26-for-42 on pass attempts to secure 258 yards and one touchdown while also throwing one interception and being sacked three times. Manny Harris led the Golden Bears in receptions with eight for a total of 78 yards. Joel Lacy had the sole touchdown for CSP on five receptions for 46 yards. 

Defensively, Jonas Barros led the Golden Bears with 10 tackles, including a half sack for a three-yard loss, along with Ricky Dixon. Kam Williams found eight tackles, while Marquis Coleman added six tackles with one tackle for a loss of one yard. 

Series Breakdown
The all-time series record between the Augustana Vikings and the Concordia-St. Paul Bears sits at 16-2 in favor of AU, which is split at an even 8-2 between home and away games.  

Augustana has won the last nine straight match-ups in the series and 15 of the 16 games since 2008. During that span, the Vikings have logged their smallest margin of victory in the 21-20 win at home in 2019 as well as the largest margin of victory with a 76-21 home victory in 2015. 

Weekend Rewind
The Vikings kept the Key to the City safe with a 37-20 win over the University of Sioux Falls after the Cougars had a scoreless second half. The Vikings found 462 yards of total offense with 280 passing yards and 182 rushing yards. Gunnar Hensley went 22-for-37, finding 280 yards with one touchdown while taking one sack. Breylon Blount was at the top of the rushing yards with 127 on 23 attempts and one touchdown. Max Carlson and Hensley also found rushing touchdowns for the Vikings. Cody Oswald recorded a touchdown-securing 88 yards on three receptions. 

Defensively, Camron Maciejewski led the Vikings again with 13 total tackles. Brock Salm was next in line with five tackles. The defensive line recorded three sacks from Christian Connelly, Jack Detert, and Tyler Birn for losses of nine, five, and 10 yards, respectively.
