BOLIVAR, Mo. – Augustana swept a Wednesday doubleheader over Southwest Baptist, claiming a 12-2 win in game one before taking game two, 10-7, at SBU Softball Field.

Stella Harber tallied three hits and three RBI while
Briana Lee added two hits and three RBI to lead the Vikings to a win in the opener.
Sidney Smart also recorded two hits and three runs scored while
Ella Cooper drove in two runs.
Jaelyn Garcia earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs on nine hits while striking out nine over six innings.
Teya Speltz pitched the final inning and struck out two.
Augustana struck first in the opening inning.
Andrea Cain singled to begin the frame and eventually scored after
Kierra Lubovich reached on an error, giving the Vikings a 1-0 lead.
The Vikings added to the lead in the second. Harber doubled and Cooper followed with a two-run home run to center field, stretching the advantage to 3-0.
Southwest Baptist answered with a run in the third, but Augustana pushed the lead to 5-1 in the fourth. Smart singled and later scored on a Harber RBI double before another run crossed following a fielding error.
After the Bearcats trimmed the lead to 5-2 in the fifth, the Vikings responded again in the sixth. Lee doubled home a run to push the margin to 6-2.
Augustana broke the game open in the seventh inning with six runs.
Claire Wynja opened the frame with a home run before Harber delivered a two-run single. Lee added a two-run single later in the inning and Cain drove in the final run as the Vikings pulled away for the 12-2 victory.

Sidney Smart drove in three runs while

Desi Cuevas and
Claire Wynja each recorded two hits to help Augustana secure the sweep.
Teya Speltz earned the win in relief, striking out eight over four scoreless innings after entering in the fourth inning.
Cuevas put the Vikings on the board in the first inning with a solo home run to center field, but Southwest Baptist responded with three runs in the bottom half to take a 3-1 lead.
Augustana cut the deficit to one in the second inning when
Norah Christiansen blasted a solo home run to right-center field.
The Vikings erupted in the third inning to take control. Cain tied the game with a solo home run before Wynja singled and later scored on a Lubovich RBI single. Smart then delivered the big swing with a two-run home run to center field, giving Augustana a 6-3 lead.
Southwest Baptist answered with four runs in the fourth inning to regain the lead at 7-6.
Augustana responded in the fifth as Smart doubled home Cuevas to tie the game at 7-7.
The Vikings regained the lead in the sixth inning. Cooper singled and Lee followed with a hit before Cain delivered an RBI single. Cain later stole second and Lee scored on the throw before Wynja doubled home another run to extend the lead to 10-7.
Speltz shut the door from there, striking out five over the final two innings as the Vikings secured the doubleheader sweep.
