Lommel Earns All-America Honors in 3m Dive

3/12/2026 8:31:00 PM

EVANSVILLE, Ill. - Avery Lommel opened her NCAA run with a bang, earning First Team All-America honors in the 3m dive on the second day of the 2026 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships.

Lommel, a junior from Delano, Minnesota, earned Top-8 honors for the first time in the 3m dive since 2024. She opened the day in the prelims, earning a spot in the final after tallying 443.05 points. The total was good for fourth to give her a comfortable spot.

In the Championship Final, Lommel reset her own 3m 11-dive program record when she tallied 474.35 points. That score was enough for a fifth-place finish behind three Clarion divers and a diver from Colorado Mesa.

Although she is the only Viking competing, Lommel slots the Vikings in at No. 20 with 14 team points through two days and 18 events.

Lommel's weekend is not done yet, as she prepares for the 1m dive on Saturday.
