ABERDEEN, S.D. - The No. 25 Augustana baseball team jumped Northern State for eight runs in the first inning on its way to a 19-4 victory to finish a weekend sweep over the Wolves on Sunday afternoon at Fossum Field.

Kobe Eikmeier had four hits, three runs scored and three RBI at the top of the order while
Nate Soelter (three hits) and
Brandon Weigel (two hits) had four RBI apiece.
Jake Lundquist reached base three times without recording an at bat, scoring each time.
Ragan Pinnow also had a pair of hits and drove in three runs.Â
Joel Van De Stroet allowed four runs in four innings to earn the win while three relievers threw an inning and allowed a hit to close the game.
Jack Sutton had two strikeouts while
Bryson Bohannon and
Maddox Foss each had one of their own.Â
Eikmeier opened the game with a solo blast and Soelter followed with a single. After a groundout shifted Soelter to second, Pinnow went yard to left to make it 3-0 through four hitters. After a groundout,
Carter McPeak walked,
Joshua Koskie singled and Lundquist was plunked to load the bases.Â
Weigel stepped in and delivered a two-run single to score Koskie and McPeak and wrap the lineup back around. Eikmeier added an RBI single and Soelter collected a two-run double to score both Weigel and Eikmeier and give the Vikings an 8-0 lead.Â
With two outs and the bases loaded, the Vikings struck for more. Weigel drew a walk and Eikmeier reached on an error to score the first two. Soelter added a two-run double and Heinsch added a two-run double before scoring on a Pinnow double to grow the lead to 15-0.Â
Eikmeier and Weigel each collected RBI singles in the top of the third following a Wolves home run to make the lead 17-1. NSU scored one in the third and one in the fourth to get within 13 runs. Sutton would club a home run in the fifth and Foss collected an RBI on a fielder's choice to bring the game to its final score.Â
Augustana continues its road stretch on Wednesday and Thursday with three games, two conference and one non-conference, against Minnesota State.Â
