SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The Augustana men's golf team sits fifth in the NSIC Championships after round one at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex with a stroke count of 298. Henry Hartquist and Keeton Newborg lead the Vikings with a stroke count of 73 and sit in a tie for ninth.

How it Happened

• Hartquist sits in a tie for ninth after he shot one-over par with a round of 73. He tallied four birdies with three on the front nine. 
• Newborg shot one over par with a round of 73. He is tied alongside Hartquist. He recorded three birdies on the front nine. 
• The lone senior in the lineup, Jacob Stewart, finished with a round of 75 and collected three birdies. Stewart finished day one in 17th.
• Derek Andersen shot five over par for a round of 77 and sits alone at 27th.
• Kaiden Brovold rounded out the Viking finishers in 37th with a round of 79.
