BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Augustana women's golf team closed out day one in the NSIC Championships in seventh with a stroke count of 321.
Joey Koth leads the Vikings in ninth place after she recorded a stroke count of 77.

How it Happened
- Koth capped off day one in ninth place after she recorded a round of 77. Koth tallied a front nine of 39 and a back nine of 38. She tallied two birdies on holes four and five.
- Payton Drefke sits in a tie for 26th after a round of 81. Drefke recorded a 42 on the front nine before she bounced back with a 39 on the back nine.
- Lanie Veenendall finished day one with a stroke count of 81 alongside teammate Drefke. Veenendall held a stroke count of 39 headed into the back nine. After she garnered a birdie on hole nine, Veenendall closed out the round with a 42 on the back nine.
- Anna Eckmann finished the day in 33rd with a stroke count of 82. She secured birdies on the front and back nine.
- Hanna Knoop rounded out the Vikings with a 49th-place finish after a stroke count of 89. Knoop tallied a birdie on hole five.
