SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday at Bowden Field, sweeping the University of Mary with a 9-1 victory in game one before a 13-2 win in game two.

Helene Krage tossed a complete-game four-hitter while
Kierra Lubovich led the offense with three hits and three RBI to guide the Vikings to the opening win.
Andrea Cain reached base three times and scored three runs, while
Norah Christiansen added a home run.
Augustana struck first in the opening inning as Cain worked a leadoff walk and came around to score on a Lubovich double to left center.
After two quiet innings, the Vikings broke the game open in the third. Cain and
Susie Tollefson each drew walks before Lubovich delivered an RBI single.
Sidney Smart followed with a sacrifice bunt to plate another run and
Stella Harber laced a double to right center to extend the lead to 4-0.
UMary got a run back in the fourth, but Augustana answered immediately with its biggest inning of the game.
Ella Cooper and
Briana Lee reached to start the frame before Cain singled home two runs. The Vikings loaded the bases again and Lubovich added another RBI knock before Smart brought in a run on a ground ball to push the lead to 8-1.
Christiansen capped the scoring in the fifth inning, blasting a solo home run to left field to seal the 9-1 victory.

The Vikings' offense stayed hot in game two, piling up 12 hits with home runs from Lubovich, Christiansen and Cooper to complete the sweep. Lubovich drove in three runs while Cooper went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Augustana wasted no time getting on the board, scoring three runs in the first inning. After
Desi Cuevas walked and
Susie Tollefson doubled, Lubovich drove in two with a double to center before
Sidney Smart added another RBI double to make it 3-0.
UMary answered with two runs in the second inning, but the Vikings kept applying pressure. Cooper singled and later scored in the second, and Lubovich launched a solo home run in the third to push the lead to 5-2.
The game broke wide open in the fourth inning as Augustana sent 12 batters to the plate. Cooper started the rally with a two-run home run before Cain tripled and scored later in the inning. Christiansen delivered the knockout blow with a three-run homer to left center, highlighting an eight-run frame that pushed the advantage to 13-2.
Teya Speltz earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs over four innings while striking out two.
Jaelyn Garcia closed out the game with a scoreless fifth inning to secure the sweep.
