SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men's and women's basketball programs have announced their 2026-27 schedules with the two teams combining to play 28 home contests including 11 doubleheader dates, all at the Elmen Center. The teams will continue to play every home game in the revitalized Elmen Center.
For the first year, the league will be using a fixed schedule for tipoff times in NSIC contests. During conference play, the women will play second all season to line up with the NSIC Tournament. Nonconference Action
In exhibition action, the Augustana women's basketball team will travel north to Fargo, North Dakota for a matchup against reigning Summit League Regular Season Champion North Dakota State on Nov. 5. The women's program then welcomes Bellevue on Nov. 9 in the first regular season basketball matchup inside the revitalized Elmen Center.
Following the opener, the women's team will play three consecutive games away from home against MIAA foes. AU will take on Central Missouri and Missouri Southern Nov. 13-14 in Warrensburg, Mo., before a road matchup on Nov. 19 at Nebraska Kearney. They will be at home Nov. 21 against Crown College and then, after their NSIC opener, will travel to Puerto Rico for a pair of games Nov. 27-28. They wrap up non-conference action with a Dec. 30 home game against William Jewell.
The Augustana men open in Little Rock, Arkansas for the first time in program history, taking on Arkansas-Monticello on November 13 and Ouachita Baptist on November 14 for the NSIC/GAC Challenge. They open their Elmen Center schedule Nov. 20-21 when they host the East/West Challenge, first with Black Hills State on Nov. 20 before welcoming Chadron State on Nov. 21.
After their NSIC conference opener, the men will travel to Kearney, Nebraska for a Nov. 27 tipoff against Nebraska Kearney. On Nov. 29, Northern State comes to town for a non-conference battle at the Elmen Center.
NSIC Play
Augustana opens the NSIC slate at home, traveling south to Wayne State for a conference doubleheader on Nov. 24. The men will play at 5:30 p.m. while the women are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
After a break for more non-conference action, a Dec. 3 trip up Grange Avenue awaits to take on Sioux Falls in the Stewart Center. Dec. 5 will start a three-game home stretch for the Vikings, starting with a Saturday afternoon doubleheader against Southwest Minnesota State before hosting St. Cloud State, the reigning NSIC men's regular season champion, on Dec. 10 and Minnesota State, the reigning NSIC women's regular season champions, on Dec. 12.
Augustana goes back on the road for five consecutive NSIC road games, starting with Winona State on Dec. 18 and Concordia-St. Paul on Dec. 20 to close out the conference calendar year. NSIC play resumes in 2027 with Augustana going to Wayne State on Jan. 2 before the start of cross-division action with Northern State and Jamestown Jan. 9-10.
The squads then start a stretch of six home games in eight games with Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead Jan. 15-16, respectively, before trips to Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State Jan. 29-30.
The teams return home for four consecutive home games Jan. 29-30 and Feb. 4-6, welcoming UMary and Minot State and then restarting NSIC South action with Concordia-St. Paul and Winona State.
The Vikings will play three of their final four games on the road, starting with a Thursday/Saturday weekend against Minnesota State and St. Cloud State Feb. 11-13. After the final home game of the regular season on Feb. 18 against Sioux Falls, the Vikings will travel northeast for the regular-season finale in Marshall, Minnesota against Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 20.
