EDMOND, Okla. — Augustana (1-0-1) secured a 2-0 victory over University of Central Oklahoma (0-2-0). The Vikings scored back to back goals in the second half, while the defense recorded a shutout with three saves.

Emma Johnson scored one goal on her only shot, contributing to the team's offensive output. Linnea Larson recorded three saves to secure a shutout victory. Madelyn White provided one assist and led the team with five total shots, including two on goal. Delaney Awe notched the first goal for the Vikings.

The match started off with the Vikings and the Bronchos both displaying strong defensive efforts. White attempted two shots in the opening minutes, both missing the target. Larson saved two close-range shots from Central Oklahoma's Sami Allen, including a critical save at the 10 minute mark. The Bronchos created further opportunities with corner kicks in the latter part of the period, but Augustana's defense held firm, keeping the score tied at 0-0 by the end of the first half.

Awe broke the scoring drought in the 72nd minute with a goal, putting Augustana ahead. Johnson extended the lead shortly after in the 74th minute with a goal, assisted by Awe and White. University of Central Oklahoma struggled to convert opportunities, with several shots off target and a few fouls disrupting their momentum. Despite a late surge, the Bronchos were unable to find the back of the net, and the Vikings secured a 2-0 victory.
