SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 17/20-ranked Augustana football team (2-1) stays home for a Saturday matchup against MSU Moorhead (2-1). Kickoff from Kirkeby-Over Stadium is slated for 1:05 p.m. The Vikings are set to celebrate Alumni and Faith Day.

Scouting the Enemy
The Dragons fell to Sioux Falls 29-28 last Saturday, despite a 14-point fourth quarter that sent the game into overtime after a touchdown and two-point conversion from the Cougars. Head coach Steve Laqua is in his 16th season at MSU Moorhead. 

Placing eighth in the NSIC Preseason Rankings, the Dragons started their season with two wins against Northern Michigan University and Concordia St. Paul in high-scoring matchups. In their first loss of the season, the Dragons found 385 total offensive yards, with 253 of those yards coming from the pass game. Quarterback Drew Huebner found himself at the top of the rushing stats with 20 attempts averaging 3.8 yards per rush and scored all three rushing touchdowns for the Dragons while throwing one interception and taking one sack. Tyson Brandt and Kalen Lucas led in receptions, each with five for a gain of 49 and 46 yards, respectively. Seth Staloch had only one reception that converted into a touchdown to round out the Dragons' four touchdowns of the game.

Miles Evans led defensively with seven total tackles, six being solo, along with one interception and one pass breakup. Gannon Bolgrean was next with six total tackles, including one tackle for a loss of three yards. Denver Piechowski recorded the only sack for the Dragons for a loss of 14 yards. 

Weekend Rewind
The 17/20-ranked Vikings downed the Beavers after a strong defensive showing despite Minot State's triple option threat. The Augustana offense totaled 480 yards, with Gunnar Hensley throwing for 371 yards going 23-of-30 on pass attempts, and completing four touchdowns. The Vikings had 109 rushing yards on 32 attempts, with Breylon Blount netting 71 of those yards. Max Carlson was next, netting 25 yards and scoring one touchdown for the Vikings. DJ Page led in reception yards with 147 on nine receptions. Isaiah Lemmond grabbed one touchdown on three receptions and 70 yards while Klayton Sattler added two touchdown receptions and Cody Oswald had one touchdown on three receptions. 

The defense tallied 71 total tackles in the win against the Beavers, with Camron Maciejewski and Brody Koberoski at the helm of those tackles. They each tallied eight tackles with Kael Ryan and Ashton Toll adding seven tackles apiece. Taking it to the defensive line, Tyler Birn had a career-high seven tackles and one quarterback hurry. Wyatt Hamersma recorded the only sack for the Augustana defense for a loss of three yards on the Beavers.

Gunnar Hensley was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week after his four-touchdown performance in the Vikings' win against Minot State. Hensley completed 23-of-30 passes for the NSIC high of 371 passing yards. He also recorded the NSIC-best 384 total offensive yards.
