Elected team captain for the 2009 season. 2008: Started at wide receiver for all 12 games ... Was second on the team with 25 catches for 319 yards for almost 13 yards per catch ... Caught four passes for 69 yards in 42-21 win at Concordia-St. Paul ... Caught four passes for 33 yards in home loss to Wayne State.

2007: Started all 11 regular season games…Was second on the team with 33 receptions for 296 yards…Scored the go-ahead touchdown versus Western Washington on 18-yard reception…Had season-high eight receptions for 66 yards at North Dakota…Had six games with over 30 yards receiving.  

2006: Appeared in 10 games … Had 3 receptions for 31 yards … Had a 16-yard catch against Minnesota State. 

2005: Sat out season as a redshirt. 

High School: A three-year starting tight end at Worthington High School … Had 21 receptions for 200 yards in 2004, both team highs … Also rushed the ball 129 times for 650 yards and 5 touchdowns … Was also the team’s punter and averaged a school-record 37.4 yards per kick … A team captain in 2004, he started all 28 games for the Trojans during his final three seasons … His 40 career receptions ranks eighth all-time in Trojan history, while his 650 yards in 2004 is the 13th–best single-season mark … Named to the All-Southwest Conference First Team and the Worthington Daily Globe All-Area First Team in 2004 … Also a three-year letterwinner on the basketball team and a member of the baseball team … Is the third member of his family to play for the Vikings.

Personal: Son of Wayne and Dea Klumper … Majors are history and secondary education … Sister Tresse was a standout on the Augie women’s basketball team, while his brother Dan was a member of the football team.
