High School: Four-year letterwinner and starter at Owatonna High School. She is a four-time All-Conference and All-Area selection who went over the 2,000 career dig mark with 460 during her senior season. As a junior, Ahrens tallied 544 digs and 37 aces grabbing and was a member of a team that finished second in the conference. Her freshman and sophomore seasons, Ahrens led the Huskies to two Big 9 Conference titles, making it to state both years accumulating 1046 digs and 76 aces.
