2020 (Junior): Named to the NSIC Fall Academic Team of Excellence … Earned NSCA All-America honors ... fall season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 (Sophomore): Played in 107 sets this season ... recorded a career-high 14 kills against Minot State (9/28) ... recorded five blocks against St. Cloud State (10/18) and Minnesota Duluth (11/23) ... has recorded 72 total blocks which finished second on the team ... hit home 13 kills against Minnesota Crookston (11/9) … earned a spot on the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

2018 (Redshirt-Freshman): Appeared in 28 matches and played in 99 sets during her freshman season … recorded a career-high 11 kills vs. Concordia St. Paul on Sept. 15 … recorded a career-high five blocks vs. UMSL on Aug. 25 … Academic All-NSIC selection … on the year she compiled 172 kills for a hitting percentage of .204, 6 digs, 48 blocks and 5 assists.

Freshman (2017): Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School Notes: Izzy was a four-year starter and four-year letterwinner at Totino-Grace High School … as a senior Sommers had 448 kills, 215 digs, 51 blocks and 28 aces … she earned all-conference, all-area and all-state and all-state academic honors during her senior season … as a junior she totalled 253 kills, 40 blocks, 31 digs and 16 aces while earning all-conference honors and helping lead her team to a 4AAA Runner-Up finish at sectionals … as a sophomore she earned 121 kills, 51 blocks 33 digs and 9 aces … as a freshman she totaled 56 kills, 38 blocks and 18 digs while helping lead her team to a conference championship.
 
Personal: Born February 28, 1999 to Charlie and Karla Sommers ... plans on majoring in Math with a minor in Computer Science.
